HISTORY

Franklin Colescott started working in Real Estate as an apprentice for J. Harris Bell in 1936.  After serving in WWII, he married his war bride Ruby Fueters, and moved home to Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
Together they founded Colescott Realty in 1950.  Ruby went on to become the first female Real Estate Broker in the Central Susquehanna Valley.

In 1973, Barry Colescott received his Pa Real Estate Brokers License and joined his parents in the family run company. In addition to residential Real Estate, Barry has expanded the company into commercial and land development.  In 1994, Christopher B. Colescott obtained his Pennsylvania Real Estate License and joined the company.  At the age of 18, Christopher was the youngest Realtor in the Central Susquehanna Valley.  Colescott Realty is the longest active Real Estate Company in the Central Susquehanna Valley and has three generations of Real Estate knowledge working for you.

The Susquehanna Valley region includes the five counties of Northumberland, Montour, Snyder, Union, and Columbia. Northumberland was the forefather of the counties.  Established in 1772, Northumberland County covered 15,000 square miles and was the 10th county organized in Pa.   Twenty-nine counties, in Pa, stem from those 15,000 miles, giving Northumberland County the name “Mother of Counties”.
